7 Promises of Hope you need to Know from God!

7 Promises of Hope From God

Throughout the Bible there are hundreds of promises from God. As I go through the triumphs and trials of renewing my faith and stroke recovery;  I want to share 7  Promises of Hope you need to know from God that encourage me every day.

1- Romans 5:8 states, “But God demonstrates His love for us in while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”  Even though we did not deserve it,  God sent His son to die on the cross so that by His grace and putting our complete faith in Him; we  have eternal life and will be joined with Him in heaven someday!

2-  1 John 1:9. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”  One thing I have learned the hard way is that God does forgive me when I sin but there are still consequences.  When I confess, I am agreeing with God and repenting or desiring to turn away from that sin. He sees our heart and forgives.

3- Psalm 121:7. “The Lord will protect you from all evil, He will protect your soul.”  I am so humbled filled with hope that the God who created the universe, cares for and watches over me.  I feel His presence when I seek Him.

4- Matthew 6:33.  “Seek first His kingdom and all these things will be added unto you.” “All things” is referring to the basic needs for everyday: Food , shelter, and clothing.  Understanding this has really helped me become a better steward.  Now when I  make a buying/spending decision I focus on my “needs” instead of my “wants” Do I really need this item or is it just something I want or would be nice to have? God has always blessed me with what I need!

5- James 1:2-4.  “Count it all joy my brethren when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of you faith produces endurance.  And let endurance have its perfect result that you may be perfect, complete lacking in nothing.  I  am truly inspired daily from this verse!   Whatever trials or difficulties we are  going through, God is using it to help mold us into the person He is wants us to be.

6- Philippians 4:13.  “I can all things through Christ who strengthens me.”  It is so important to realize God gives us the strength to carry out His will for our lives.  This verse is NOT about just doing whatever we want  and asking God to bless it.

7-Jeremiah 29:11.  “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord.  Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you future and a hope.”   This the ultimate verse of HOPE!  God has a plan for our lives.  He loves us and wants the best for both you and me.  He does not want to hurt but to help us glorify Him through our lives.

There are so many marvelous promises from God that I could go on and on but then this post would never end.  My prayer is that these verses encourage you to meditate in His word and remember your hope is in Him!

By the way, there are more of my favorite verses here on my Encouragement page .  My email address is also listed there so  I hope send me some of your favorites too or share right here in the comments to encourage others also.  I look forward to seeing which verses help give you hope throughout each day.

  1. Yes, Horace, I think a series on God’s Promises would be wonderful! There are SO many verses I love, but to keep from writing a book, I’ll share just one. Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. I am so thankful no matter what I do or where I go, the Lord is always with me and strengthening me. Thank you for sharing with Thankful Thursdays, Horace.

    • Haha….You are always welcome to share God’s word here Lori! Thanks for visiting. I am encouraged and enlightened the more time I spend in God’s word. that promise in Isaiah is a great one.
